Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova on an Introductory Visit to the Romanian Patriarchate

Wednesday, 8 June 2016, 11:30 hours, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church received at the Patriarchal Residence the visit of Mr Mihai Grinbincea, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Romania.

 

The Moldavian Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the honour to have been received on a visit to the Romanian Patriarchate and appreciated the attention givne of the Romanian authorities for dialogue and cooperation in European context.

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel congratulated the new ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest at the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Romania and underlined the necessary development of common cultural, educational, and social philanthropic projects and programmes, sustained through the advantageous inclusion of the two states into the same space of language, faith and culture.

The necessary promotion of the common Christian and national values, through the intensification both of the pilgrimages and of the religious tourism on both banks of the River Prut was also emphasised.
