From 6-8 November 2015, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania is paying a pastoral visit to the Metropolitanate of Moldova and Bucovina. Saturday night, 7 November 2015, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church arrived at Zosin Monastery. There, His Beatitude was met by many young people dressed in national costumes, as well as by the community of the monastery.

On this occasion, a Polychronion service was celebrated in the church of the monastic settlement dedicated to the Life-giving Spring. The welcome speech was delivered by archimandrite Teodosie Pleşca, abbot of the monastery. His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, thanked for the kind reception and congratulated the monks of the monastery and the abbot too, for the works done to this monastic place of worship.

The first monastic settlement of Zosin dates back from 1779. The new place of worship is dedicated to the Mother of God, having the Life-giving Spring as patronal feast, while the second patronal feast is that of the Romanian Saints. The foundation stone for building the church was laid in the spring of 2006, but the first digging was done one year later.
