The Patriarch of Romania transmitted the mass-media representatives of the Orthodox Eparchies of Romania the fact that for the Church, any kind of communication must be also a confession. These words were said on the occasion of the meeting between His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the mass media persons in charge of the Orthodox Eparchies of the country. The event took place on Friday, 4 March 2016, at the Patriarchal Residence.
During the meeting, His Beatitude spoke to the representatives for communication about the importance of an adequate language and of communication based on the confession of faith.
The Patriarch of Romania underlined that “cooperation and more awareness of the mission of the lay faithful is needed” and emphasised that “for the Church, any kind of communication must be also a confession”. “We communicate confessing the faith because we do not have two ways of communicating, one inside and another outside the Church, in society”, His Beatitude underlined.
The mass-media representatives of the Eparchies met for two days (3 and 4 March 2016) with representatives of BASILICA Press Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate.
