
The Romanian Patriarchate reminds the public that, after 11 days of continuous pilgrimage, the opportunity for the faithful to venerate inside the Holy Altar of the National Cathedral will end on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at midnight.
Visiting Hours Following the Pilgrimage Period
However, from November 6 to November 14, the National Cathedral will be open to visitors daily between 11:00 and 19:00.
Between November 15 and November 29, the National Cathedral will be closed to allow interior works to continue (mosaic iconography and installations).
Cathedral Access on National Day, St Andrew’s Day
On November 30, 2025, the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle — Protector of Romania and Patron Saint of the National Cathedral — the Cathedral will be open for the Divine Liturgy (09:00–12:00).
On December 1, Romania’s National Day, the Cathedral will be open for the Te Deum service of thanksgiving.
On December 2, it will reopen for visits. However, from December 3 to December 23, the Cathedral will be closed for continued interior work.
Holiday Visiting Schedule
Between December 24, 2025, and January 8, 2026, the Cathedral will be open daily from 09:00 to 17:00 for visits.
On days when the National Cathedral is closed, pilgrims may pray at the nearby Chapel of the National Cathedral.
Warm thanks are extended to the volunteers, clergy and gendarmes who made a considerable effort, day and night, during the 11 days of pilgrimage, so that the hundreds of thousands of faithful could have the opportunity to venerate in the Holy Altar of the National Cathedral.
