A parental and friendly address to the young people

nov05mesajtineriDear young people,

In these moments of great sorrow for the death of many innocent young people in the Collective Club in Bucharest, for the mourning families who are weeping their loved ones, and for the injured ones who are in hospitals, but also at a time of big social turmoil, we address to you a parental word of comfort and appreciation, of peace and blessing.

We ask for forgiveness if some of our words were not clear enough or have been misinterpreted.

We understand that the young people today want not only socialisation and communion among them, but also to be listened to and encouraged in their aspirations.

Our Church loves all young people, those who come to church and those who do not go church, because they are God's gift to family and society.

Until now, the Church, together with young people in parishes, has organised many spiritual, cultural and social-philanthropic programs. Now we want to express more affection and understanding for all young people in society, respecting their freedom, dignity and aspirations.

The Church continues to support young people understanding their longing for the spiritual and moral renewal of the Romanian society and prays for the present and the future of the Romanian people, in order to live in peace and unity.
