This is the last day of my mission in Romania. Tonight I will fly to Athens. My future diplomatic mission will be in Sofia, Bulgaria. I am glad because on my last day in Romania I was received by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel who received me lots of times during my three years and a half mission as Greek Ambassador in Bucharest. I do thank the Romanian people with whom I had a very good collaboration. I wish to thank especially the Romanian Orthodox Church which supported and helped me during my mandate in Romania, the Ambassador of Greece also said.

In the end, His Excellency expressed his conviction that the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church of Greece will continue to collaborate for the wellbeing of Christianity and Orthodoxy.
