Ambassador Of Jordan On An Introductory Visit To The Romanian Patriarchate

 

On 28 January 2015, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church received at the Patriarchal Residence the introductory visit of His Excellency Mr Saker Makkawi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Bucharest.

 

The Ambassador thanked for reception and appreciated the important role of the religious cults in the promotion of the inter-religious dialogue of peace in society in order to avoid the disagreements between people of different cultures and religions. In this sense, the Jordanian guest emphasised the climate of good understanding and mutual respect among the religious cults of Romania.

 

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel congratulated Mr Ambassador and wished him every success at the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Romania. The Patriarch of Romania expressed his hope to continue the fruitful collaboration for better mutual knowing both people through cultural exchanges and intensification of pilgrimages organised by the Romanian Patriarchate to the religious objectives of Jordan.

 

His Excellency Mr Saker Malkawi appreciated this initiative and expressed his intention to support the pilgrimages of the Romanian Patriarchate to Jordan. Mr Ambassador resumed the invitation of the Jordanian authorities addressed to the Patriarch of Romania to visit the Holy Places of this country.

 

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel thanked for invitation and mentioned that the time of the visit of the Patriarch of Romania to the Holy Places of the Middle East, and to Jordan too, will be established at the right time.
