The International Theological Congress on the “Religious Education of the Youth in the Context of the Present Secularisation” was held in Bucharest, from 3-7 September 2016. The festive session of the Congress took place in Conventus Room of the Patriarchal Palace. The event was chaired by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The event was opened by the Patriarch of Romania who addressed the message entitled Religious Education – Formation of the Youth for Life.
Hierarchs, priests, representatives of state institutions, professors, specialists in educational sciences of Romania, and persons in charge with religious education of the young people of the sister Orthodox Churches participated. The main purpose of the event was to take up and debate the messages, ideas, and suggestions of the participants in the Orthodox Youth Meeting from All Over the World held during the last few days in Bucharest.
